The objective is to cover the principles of food hygiene for food handlers working in either a catering or retail environment. It is a valuable free-standing qualification that is also suitable for learners and employees engaged in other food based vocational training and employment.
The purpose of this qualification is for learners to obtain a knowledge and understanding of; the importance of food hygiene, associated food safety hazards, good hygiene practice and controls based upon an awareness of food safety management systems.
The course is a one day programme
The examination consists of 30 questions. The duration of the examination is forty minutes. A candidate who is able to Satisfy the learning outcomes will achieve a score of at least 20 out of 30.
The results are released by the Institute within about two weeks. Successful candidates receive the Ofqual accredited certificate Compliance's Level 2 Award Food Safety and Hygiene certificate.

The aim of this five-day course is primarily to provide managers and chefs with an in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of food hygiene and to enable them to exercise management controls for the production of safe food.
Five day programme. Candidates will have time of at least two weeks after the course to prepare for the written examination.
This course is recommended for chefs, supervisors, managers, senior hygiene personnel and those seeking to train others in Food Hygiene.
The examination will consist of Two papers; paper one will consists of 20 shortanswer questions which have to be answered in 120 minutes; paper two will be assessed by a controlled assignment, which will have to be answered in 120 minutes. All questions on both of the papers have to be answer.

The food service sector needs to get ready for major changes to food labelling legislation when the EU Food Information Regulation (FIR) 1169/2011 comes into force on 13 December 2014.
The legislation will introduce a mandatory requirement for food businesses to provide accurate allergy information for particular foods sold unpackaged (loose). This information can either be written or provided orally by a competent member of staff. It will not be enough for restaurants and other catering establishments to simply declare they do not know whether a food contains any of the 14 allergens listed under the Regulation.
This course has been developed for those responsible for the management of food safety to understand the characteristics of food allergies and food intolerances, how to reduce the risk to consumers and how to comply with current and future legislation.

This course aims to raise awareness of knowledge and understanding of basic principles of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP). It will help with the development of a food safety management procedure based on the principles of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.

An ideal course for food business operators, managers and employees working in food businesses. This course is especially suitable for those responsible for the maintenance of a food safety management procedure, as required by EU Regulation 852/2004 of the European Parliament on the Hygiene of Foodstuffs.
It is suitable for supervisors and mangers that hold the Level 3 Award in Supervising Food safety or the Intermediate Certificate in Food Safety. Some candidates, who have passed the Advanced Certificate in Food Safety or level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering have found this an ideal course for revision purposes.

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) provides an effective and practicable management tool for identifying food safety hazards and ensuring that adequate controls are in place.
This Level 3 qualification covers the importance of HACCP-based food safety management procedures, the preliminary processes for HACCP-based procedures, development of the procedures, monitoring of critical control points and corrective actions and the evaluation of the procedures.
The qualification is firmly based on the National Occupational Standards developed by Improve, the Sector Skills Council for the food and drink manufacturing industry, and conforms to the qualification template developed by RSPH, other awarding bodies and Improve.
The course is a two day programme
A one-hour multiple - choice examination consisting of 30 questions which is split into 2 parts. Part 1 will contain 20 MCQ and part 2 will contain 2 scenarios to be completed consisting of a further 10 MCQ. Candidates will have the choice of selecting 2 from 4 scenarios available. The scenarios will reflect both manufacturing and catering. The qualification is graded as either Pass (20/30) or Distinction (26/30)
Successful candidates will receive the recognised accredited certificate Compliance's Level 3 Award in Understanding how to Develop a HACCP Plan
If a candidate fails the assessment, he or she is permitted to re-sit the examination once after paying an appropriate exam fee. If a candidate fails a re-sit, he or she will have to undertake the full training programme again.

This course allows candidates to develop their basic fire safety awareness. It is particularly useful for employees who are to have a designated responsibility for workplace fire safety, for example as fire wardens or fire marshals, and provides the knowledge that will allow them to carry out duties relating to fire safety and emergency procedures.

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. These Regulations apply to all workplaces including those with less than five employees and to the self-employed. This one day course is designed for persons in low-risk workplace environments to meet these requirements.
The aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with the understanding of the role of the first aider.
The course is 1 day.
Candidates will be assessed by ongoing practical assessment by the tutor, as well as a multiple choice examination – candidates will have 30 minutes for 15 exam questions and in order to pass they have to answer at least 10 correctly.
On successful completion of the course delegates will receive a Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work certificate which is valid for 3 years. The certificate are released by the Institute within a few days. The Health and Executive strongly recommends that candidates undertake an annual refresher course. Also, candidates must re-qualify after three years.

Under the Licensing Act 2003 - Personal licences authorise individuals to sell or supply alcohol, or authorise the sale or supply of alcohol, for consumption on or off premises for which a premises licence is in force for the carrying on of that activity.
To qualify for a personal licence an individual must be aged 18 or over and possess a recognised qualification. This course has been specifically adapted to meet these requirements.

The qualification is accredited by both Ofqual and the Secretary of State at the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, and has been designed to meet the statutory requirements of the Licensing Act 2003.
